Kayseri-based Akyapı Logistics is stepping into a new era in railway transportation. The company, which has been serving as Türkiye's largest rail transporter, warehouser and supplier for more than 30 years, has put into operation a comprehensive new intermodal transfer terminal. Akyapı Logistics, which provides services (Lojistik, Akkon, Mlh, Borchard), carries 68 thousand export and import containers annually from Anatolia to ports. The company also continues bulk cargo transportation by rail in the corridors where it operates block trains. It also carries out direct international rail export and import transportation via the Iran and BTK line.

The newly commissioned intermodal terminal is built on an area of ​​150,000 square meters and has a zero waste certificate. This modern facility has three 1500-meter long railway junction lines. In this new terminal, Akyapı Logistics offers unloading and filling services with a 65,000 square meter container stock area and a 20,000 square meter bulk cargo terminal. It prepares the block trains it operates at its own terminal and delivers them to the conventional line.

Akyapı Logistics also plays a leading role in environmental awareness and reducing its carbon footprint. They state that they reduced 31,780,000 kg of carbon emissions with the operations they carried out in 2023. Aiming to reduce the environmental impact thanks to electric block trains, the company plans to make its intermodal terminals carbon neutral with the renewable energy facilities it will commission soon.
